Every day, going to and from work, I pass this beautiful old barn on Range Road in Cumberland.  It has consistently been one of the best spots to see moonrises and the changing sky at dusk.  I had been wanting to create a painting with this barn, regardless, and on this particular day, the color of the sky against the backdrop of foliage prompted me to immediately pull over to capture the image, giving me the perfect excuse. The colors, textures and contrasts were almost surreal and ones that I can’t be sure that I’ll ever see again.
